I’m So Bored

The Nose

Here we are at the end of the August political doldrums, Dear Readers. The Wilson Building has been deserted for the past month as its denizens take their annual leave. Some trek to the beach; others to the wilds of this country’s vast hinterland vainly attempting to avoid colliding with Bambi or Thumper on a bucolic roadway.

August 28th

Crepes on the Corner Closed

Crepes on the Hill, which opened to rave reviews from neighbors, has closed. Given its location, it probably did not get enough foot traffic, and there were not enough neighbors to keep it afloat.

How to Donate Materials to Community Forklift

Donations from the community and local businesses are the lifeblood of Community Forklift's retail store. They accept surplus and salvage building materials, vintage architectural elements, select vintage furniture and home goods, and other interesting odds and ends that they think their customers might want. They resell these goods to create green jobs, donate building materials to low income community members, support arts and other non-profit organizations and provide low cost materials to the general community.
