Police Nab Robbers in SW

On Jan. 24 at 3:42 p.m., three individuals confronted a young man who was walking on the 700 block of Seventh St. SW. The youngster ran. The three caught him, and stole his cell phone. He was not hurt. He reported the mugging to the police.

The thieves fled eastbound down the 600 block of G St. The officers nabbed two of the robbers based on a police lookout. The young man positively identified his assailants. They have been charged accordingly.

Suspects Sought in D Street Robbery

The police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two suspects in connection with an armed robbery which occurred on Thursday, Jan. 24 at approximately 10:18 a.m. on the 1800 block of D St. NE.

The subjects were captured on a surveillance video entering the store from the sidewalk. They are described as:

Police Catch Eastern Market Muggers

On Jan. 23 at approximately 5 p.m., a man was approached by a panhandler, standing at the intersection of Seventh St. and Pennsylvania Ave. SE. After asking for food money, the panhandler tried to forceably riffle the man's left front pocket. Simultaneously, another mugger approached from behind putting the victim in a choke hold. Joined by two more assailants, the men went through the victim's pockets stealing electronic items.
