Free Postgame Concerts at Nationals Park

Blues Traveler (June 8), Thompson Square (July 6), Gavin DeGraw (August 31) and Montgomery Gentry (September 21) will comprise the lineup for the 2013 NatsLive Free Postgame Concert Series following select Nationals home games throughout the summer. The performances will begin approximately 15 minutes after the final out of each Nationals game. Fans who wish to attend the free concerts must have a valid ticket for that day’s Nationals game, which can be purchased at nationals.com/NatsLive.

Arrest Made in South Capitol Traffic Fatality

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Unit have made an arrest in connection with a recent pedestrian fatality at First and South Capitol Streets SW.

Car Stolen on Half Street SW

A car was stolen on the 1500 block of Half St. SW.

There were thefts:

  • at an undisclosed location in PSA 104 from a business;

  • on the 900 block of Sixth St. SW from a residence;

  • on the 900 block of Fourth St. SW from a supermarket;

  • on the 400 block of Eighth St. SE from a restaurant.

There were thefts from automobiles on:

  • the 800 block of E St. NE;

  • the 800 block of Fourth St. NE;

  • the 1300 block of Maryland Ave. NE.

Friday Night Lincoln Park Police Presence Explained

The Crime Blotter - April 27

On the evening of April 26, First Distrist Officers approached a suspicious individual in Lincoln Park. They found that he was using narcotics. When they attempted to arrest him, the man assaulted the officers. He was subsequently subdued and taken into custody. The incident resulted in a large police presence in the park.

There was a purse snatching at an undisclosed location in PAS 105 at 1:48 p.m. on April 27.

There was a burglary on the 100 block of P St. SW at 9 a.m. on April 27.

Cold nights and frequent rains have slowed the arrival of spring favorites like asparagus and radishes. We're left to create light, fresh recipes with over-wintered and hothouse crops, like the season's first tomatoes (grown in real soil) and beets, Brussels sprouts and fennel grown through the winter.

There were thefts:

  • at on undisclosed construction site in PSA 107;

  • on the 100 block of Seventh St. NE from a residence;

  • on the 1500 of Massachusetts Ave. SE from a residence.

There was a car stolen on the 1400 block of L St. SE.

Afternoon Robbery on the 800 Block of Ninth St. NE

There was a robbery on the 800 block of Ninth St. NE at 3;16 p.m. on April 24.

There was an assault with a dangerous weapon on the 800 block of 21st St. NE at 9:29 p.m. on April 24.
