Three days of events celebrating the life of former Mayor and Ward 8 Councilmember Marion Barry will take place next week from Thursday, Dec. 4, to Saturday, Dec. 6, officials said.

The details of Barry’s memorial events were released today by Mayor Vincent C. Gray, D.C. Council Chairman Phil Mendelson, and representatives of Barry’s family.

During the week of October 6th, Dan Hoagland of the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) visited the school and brought with him a fleet of bicycles that were used in conjunction with the Physical Education (PE) program for the week.
