Capitol Hill Art League Hosts Opening Reception Saturday Evening

Exhibit Entitled “Crème de la Crème” Features Work of Award-Winning Artists

This Saturday June 8, join the artists of the Capitol Hill Art League at the opening reception for their summer show. The exhibit, entitled “Crème de la Crème,” features Capitol Hill Art League members whose works have received awards during the 2016-17 exhibition season.

The reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the gallery at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) at 545 7th St. SE. Admission is free. There will be wine, light refreshments and an opportunity to meet and talk with the artists.

Artists with works in the exhibit include Ken Bachman, Kim Bursic, Marilyn Christiano, Kay Fuller, Tara Hamilton, JoAnn Laboy, Rindy O’Brien, Judy Searles, Ann Thomson, Maria Valley-Riestra, Karen Van Allen and Karen Zens. “Crème de la Crème” will show until August 14.

The CHAW gallery is home to the Capitol Hill Art League, a group of both established and emerging artists who offer professional development opportunities as well as show and sell the work of members.
