DHCD Invites Attendees to Meetings for Tenants and Housing Providers

District agency offers sessions on regulations, rights and responsibilities

The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) has announced two training sessions offered by the Housing Regulation Administration (HRA) to help tenants and housing providers understand their various rights, responsibilities and regulations and the ways in which HRA can best assist all parties.

The Tenant Stakeholder Meeting on September 12th is designed to help tenants understand their rights and responsibilities as a tenant. This can be challenging, particularly when deciphering various rules and regulations. Register for a unique opportunity to discuss with HRA representatives how HRA can assist tenants in meeting their housing needs. Key topics will include housing programs, rent control, inclusionary zoning and housing resources.

The Housing Provider Stakeholder Meeting on September 14th will help housing providers understand their duties and responsibilities and will describe the ways in which the HRA can help. Realtors, property managers and small landlords can register for a unique opportunityto discuss the types of support that HRA can provide. Topics include conversion and sale, rent control, inclusionary zoning and housing resources.

"DHCD is proud to offer these sessions to ensure that the community is informed of current housing regulations and policies," said DHCD Communication Director Gwen Cofield. "These sessions also create an opportunity to hear feedback from our constituents."
