Results Gym New Manager Speaks Out

Cwi Steiman Assumed Ownership of the Gym on March 16

Landlord of the Results Gym building at 315 G St. SE, Cwi Steiman, confirmed March 17 that he took over management of the Results Gym DC after former tenants Peak Performance closed the gym suddenly late Tuesday.

After this shocking shut down, Steiman clarified that he and his colleagues at Giddings Associates reopened the gym on Thursday as both landlord and managers of the club.

“They were behind on their payments to us, so we released suit for eviction,” Steiman said of Peak Performance’s managers. “But they simply ended as of Tuesday.”

Around 2000, Peak Performance started managing the club. But the gym already faced financial issues regarding previous attempts to renovate and jumpstart the business. Steiman said the last six months revealed more financial problems for the tenants that led to the decision to close.

Several years ago, Steiman operated more than 20 gyms across DC as the CEO of Sports and Health Company — he said he knows the business. Steiman plans to keep all current staff if they wish to stay and will make upgrades and changes to the interior. He also said the new management will likely keep the name “Results.”

Steiman with Giddings Associates will finance the new additions to the operation.

“We the landlords reopened it and we’re doing all the right things to be sure we don’t have these members on the street,” Steiman told the Rag. “We feel strongly that we want to be sure the membership is happy.”
