Saint Mark’s Vigil Commemorating Victims of Gun Violence

Join Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church, 301 A St. SE, on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 7 p.m., for its fourth annual National Vigil commemorating all victims of gun violence. Senior Presidential Advisor Valerie Jarrett will speak and join with survivors and family members on the fourth anniversary of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Connecticut. 
 
In addition to Ms. Jarrett, former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, and other political leaders will speak. Community leaders, law enforcement, faith leaders and community members from Newtown will attend as well as over 85 family members of victims of gun violence and survivors from cities and towns in 20 states.
 
The St. Mark’s vigil joins over 240 events and vigils planned in 39 states and Washington DC in calling for an end to gun violence.
