Two Assaults With a Dangerous Weapon in Southwest

At 3:00 a.m. Friday, a woman was arrested on the 1200 block of Canal Street SW on charges of Threats to Kidnap or Injure a Person.

At 7:35 a.m. Friday, a  man was arrested on the 1200 block of I Street SE on charges of Aggravated Assault.

At 12:03 p.m. Friday, there was a robbery on the 1700 block of L Street NE.

At 12:35 a.m. Saturday, a woman was arrested on the 1200 block of Delaware Avenue SW on charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

At 12:44 a.m. Saturday, there was an assault with the intent to commit robbery on the 500 block of Eighth Street NE.

At 7:31 p.m. Sunday, there was an assault with a dangerous weapon on the 400 block of L’Enfant Plaza SW.

Reporting Illegal Activity

Prompt and detailed reporting of suspicious activities helps prevent crime. If a citizen sees suspicious activity, or any activity that seems out of the ordinary, immediately call 911.

When reporting suspicious activity, give an accurate description. Here are some things to include:

  • Brief description of the activity;
  • Date, time and location of the activity;
  • Physical identifiers of anyone you observed;
  • Descriptions of vehicles;
  • Information about where people involved in suspicious activities may have gone;
  • Your name and contact information.
