Union Market Expands Hours

Now Open Five Days a Week

Union Market, located at 1309 Fifth St. NE, is expanding its hours of operation. The market will now be open  Wed. to Fri. from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Sat. and Sun., it will open at 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. The new hours begin on Nov. 10.

This weekend the Union Market will celebrate its new hours with several events:

  • Amanda McClements will host a holiday pop-up gift shop on Nov. 9 to 11. Come see this preview of her lifestyle boutique, Salt & Sundry, opening soon.

  • Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair will take place on Sat., Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Union Market parking lot. Admission is $5.

  • The Lamb Burger Cook-Off, sponsored by the American Lamb Board, takes place on Sun., Nov. 11 from noon to 1 p.m. Five DC bloggers will compete judged by a panel of professional judges and market patrons.

Union Market now features over 40 vendors including: Rappahannock Oysters Co.; Buffalo & Bergen; Salt & Sundry; Righteous Cheese; Peregrine Espresso; Lyon Bakery; Trickling Springs Creamery; Harvey’s Market; Oh! Pickles; Almaala Farms; DC Empanadas and TaKorean.
